Thank you for writing this. I am also angry about 2016. At the time, I didn’t think anything could make me angrier…until 2020 happened. We’re in a nightmare of a situation. The stairs analogy is a good one. I need to hope we’ll come back from this, it’s been exhausting. I’m just hopeful the majority of Americans will do the right thing and remember to vote.

I'm a conservative and share your outrage and disillusionment. WTF has been my sentiment as well

I very much appreciate you saying that, Leslie. I know that although we have different beliefs, we can find common ground here, and I think that is really important right now.

I can help. I *am* a radical. And there is a path forward. It might get crazy for a while - crazier than it has been, hard as it is to imagine such a thing - but the saving grace of the immunity ruling, on top of all the previous happy horse shit the Court has barfed up since it was packed by Trump with political operatives thinly disguised in black robes, is that these fucking nincompoops did it while our guy is still in office.

Trump is still a felon and if it's king anybody, it's King Joe. In all seriousness, Joe could check with Merrick Garland and then declare all 6 conservative Justices to be enemies of the United States, and order all six of them stuffed in a sack. I feel that, given the Attorney General of the United States' blessing, that the remaining three - (Chief) Justice Sotomayor, Justice Kagan, and Justice Jackson, would at worst grudgingly accede to the legitimacy of the maneuver. All three implied as much in their dissent (as did Barrett, although she still chose the side of evil.)

It's absolutely batshit that we are seriously discussing stuffing 66% of the Supreme Court into a sack. Batshit, but not surprising, considering the ink wasn't dry on the ruling before Trump had filed to have his NY state conviction overturned, citing the immunity decision (even though he wasn't president at the point the crimes he was convicted of were committed.)

I don’t think any of that will happen but it’s nice to think about
