THANK YOU for calling attention to the "female" thing. Female, to me, is a science term, used specimens you are observing, like mice or frogs or seahorses. It's emotionally distancing and objectifying.
I know it’s become very mainstreamed and used in a lot of communities. However, every time I hear it used by a man, it’s usually in a not flattering way and yes it’s very othering and like we belong on exhibit in a zoo
I'm left wondering what these two dick biscuits think are the *advertised* features of marrying an Indian woman. And kinda surprised he used the word "woman"; I guess you get elevated from "female" to "woman" when you are at that stage of life when they want to marry you?
I wonder if JD relates to any female as a living entity. He seems unsure about whether we are human beings. Certainly he finds us threatening. Why else would he depotentiate us by stripping away our humanity by calling us females? I realize that my gender is female and that’s the box I would check on a medical form where it asks for my gender, but I think of myself as a woman, even sometimes a girl. After all, I’ve been a girl in the past and I still like toys. My apartment is full of them: Beanie Babies, stuffed animals, a Baby Yoda, and a dozen wind-up toys. Clearly he’s a guy who has trouble with women. Maybe because his mother had problems with addiction and wasn’t there for him when he was growing up? Says more about him than it does about us.
Vance could not be more of an awkward person. Those are his truths. The donut shop was an embarrassing. He just can’t have a normal Conversation which means he has no personal Truth.
I'm only 48 and I am getting both angrier and happier as each year goes by.
JD Vance can get in the volcano as my gen z friend says. Sorry that you are having to put up with that nonsense over there. My boyfriend is in TN, so I am watching with concern from the UK...

Yes exactly!
Excellent work here, you really stuck the landing with the Tori Amos love ❤️
All roads lead to Tori 🤣
Came here to post the same—article excellent but footnote even better
Love that Tori Amos brings people to my yard, ALWAYS! <3

Great story, Kari. Vance is an absolute turd of a man who will get his comeuppance in a debate with Governor Walz, and I can't wait.
I might break my own rules and watch it just to watch him make mincemeat out of that dumbass
Great idea. I'm guessing the takedown will be epic. Fingers crossed.
Came for the article, stayed for the perfect footnote 😆

Fuck. Yes. 🤘🤘🤘
"ANYONE WHO REFERS TO WOMEN AS “FEMALES” NEEDS TO STOP. WE ARE WOMEN NOT FEMALES. MOST IMPORTANTLY WE ARE HUMANS. STOOOOP."
"Female" is also used as a terminology for certain non-humans. Can it still apply there?
let's use it in a sentence:
"A female cat can have up to four litters of kittens a year" = fine
"Females should go die after 50" - NO. :)
yes if you are referring to an animal species!
Okay. So you're mad that he's equating women with animals...
this post explains it better than I can! https://dailynexus.com/2021-07-24/stop-calling-women-females/
It’s the difference between an adjective and a noun bro.
I was going to comment but this is so awesome I no longer have any need to.
